86.400.000 milliseconds is not enough

Really, there isn´t enough time each day to do it all. Granted, much of it gets spent in nothing at all.. but you know, bitching is fun. I can never get enough of it.

Quite a few things have risen as of lately. One of them is the incoming trip to the US of A. I shall be leaving from Madrid October the 6th of this year and arriving the next day in San Diego, California, where I am to stay for little under a month. Hopefully I´ll get to visit San Francisco and Los Angeles.

We shall host a Halloween party at home the first weekend of November right after I get back. Yes, we know it´s not the proper date, but let´s all be glad we´re having one even though this country does not celebrate Halloween to begin with, yes? - we´re planning on buying a smoke machine for the event, we need to get one that lowers the temperature of the actual smoke coming out of the gizmo, so that it stays under our feet and doesn´t dissipate as fast. I´m working on it.

Speaking of Party time (you must watch the Stewie Griffin movie if you haven´t yet), there is one happening in our flat in el Paseo de las Acacias this upcoming friday the 16th to commorate the end “exams season” and all that jazz. If you´d like to attend, please wait to be invited.

Let us speak about last weekend. Specifically Saturday. We went to this place called Cervecería L’Europa found around in the Cardenal Cisneros street, close to Bilbao metro exit. They had a very nice list of beers to choose from, more than the usual place I believe, but the best thing was this sausage platter for 13 euros and the many kinds of mustards they had to eat them with. Sofia asked the waiter about it and he let us buy some of it, which we did, while Sandra stole one. She´s smarter than us you see.

Then we went to this Sidreria close by that Sandra knew about. We again gave it a try at escanciarla, but as always a quarter of each bottle ended up in the barrel and in the floor around it. Sofia & Sandra also ordered these empanadas, and I must say, the chorizo one has me in love. Good stuff.

Afterwards, we went to a bar called Gris, found around Calle San Marcos in Chueca, we´ve been there previosly once, but since we had new members on our legion that night, we had to make them try the Sangre del Infierno. The first time the Barterder was serving us, we asked him to scare us, so he dipped his pinky into one chupito, then lit it on fire with a lighter and used the pinky to light up a Cigarette. They also have other chupitos of a more normalish nature, which I must confess are yummy.

Yes, one more stop. We then made our way to El Rey Lagarto in Malazaña, where we once again head banged our way through System of a Down, Incubus, The Chemical Brothers and many others. We of course had some more Calimochos con mora.

To end the night we went back to our humble abode and proceeded to play Mario Party 6 while drinking cheap beer and eating marshmallows and peanuts. At some point that I can´t recall we fell asleep.

On Sunday we cleaned. Lalala.
